Congratulations to the team at Sunshine Leisure Centre for winning four awards at the Aquatics and Recreation Victoria Industry Gala Awards this week.
These annual awards celebrate excellence and innovation in the aquatic and leisure industry, and attracted 170 nominations over 25 categories.
Sunshine Leisure Centre was nominated for seven awards and won four of them. An excellent achievement. Also a great reward for the team after all their hard work during a challenging period for this industry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The four wins were for:
- Duty Manager of the Year Award – Matt Evans
- Watch Around Water Campaign Award – Sunshine Leisure Centre
- Community Impact Award – Brimbank Access
- Sustainability Award – Sunshine Leisure Centre
Well done also to other Brimbank Leisure Centres services and team members who were nominated for awards.
They were:
- Swim Teacher of People with a Disability – Juliet Wood
- Innovative Program Award – Swim Teacher Employment Pathway (STEP)
- Swim School of the Year Award
