Celebrate without single-use plastic

Five reusable party kits will be available for residents to borrow from Brimbank community centres when the new ban on single-use plastics  (including single-use plastic drinking straws, cutlery, plates, drink-stirrers, expanded polystyrene food and drink containers) comes in on 1 February.

The kits, which include 15 cups/plates/forks/spoons, a 5L water cooler, fabric bunting decoration and tablecloth, will support residents to transition from single-use plastic catering ware to reusable alternatives.

Two-week loans are available from participating Community Centres:

  • Westvale Community Centre
  • West Sunshine Community Centre
  • Sydenham Neighbourhood House
  • Delahey Community Centre
  • Hunt Club Community & Arts Centre

*You must be a Brimbank resident and holder of an unrestricted Brimbank City Council Library card to loan a kit.
