Celebrate Men’s Health Week with former AFL star Russell Robertson

Brimbank City Council is shining the spotlight on men’s health and wellbeing with a full program of events and activities for this year’s Men’s Health Week.

From Monday 15 to Saturday 20 June, men of all ages can enjoy everything from inspiring talks and art therapy to gardening workshops and sausage sizzles.

Participants are encouraged to get active with an introductory golf lesson, try out pickleball or ezee tennis, join a walking group or bring the kids to a ‘bounce and bond’ basketball game.

If tabletop games are more your style, you can embark on an epic adventure with a Saturday afternoon Dungeons and Dragons quest.

The highlight of the program is Brimbank Men’s Health Day on Thursday 18 June, featuring guest speaker Russell Robertson. The former AFL leading goal kicker will share his honest insights on men’s health, mental wellbeing and life beyond sport, and perform a few songs.

Everyone is welcome to join us on the day, where you can:

  • Catch up on important health checks
  • Get a fresh haircut from the barber
  • Relax with a massage
  • Check out the Men’s Shed
  • Enjoy a barista coffee
  • Dig into the sausage sizzle.

There will also be prizes and giveaways, entertainment and information stalls where you can learn more about local health services.
