As we enter the Local Government Council election period, you may notice a change to our communications starting from Tuesday 17 September noon to Saturday 26 October 2024 6pm. This is also known as the Caretaker period.
During this time, we are limited to the types of information we can share as per the Local Government Act 2020.
To prevent any potential breaches of the Act, all content published on our website and social media platforms – including event submissions and comments on posts – will be carefully monitored to ensure compliance.
Any comments or posts that include electoral content or could be perceived as related to an election campaign, will be removed from our social media channels. Electoral matter refers to anything intended or likely to influence voting in the election.
This means we will not be able to respond to your questions or comments via social media channels however you can contact us by phone on 03 9249 4000 or via live chat on our website.
Our social media will resume regular operation from 11.59pm Saturday 26 October 2024.
