About this event

Clear budgets help a grant assessor understand how you will be spending the grant money.  A project budget includes details of all money that will be contributed to the project (income) and all the costs required for the project (expenditure).

This workshop will focus on how to prepare a clear project/program budget for a grant application. Participants will explore the costs for their project and learn how to present it in a clear and realistic way.

Topics covered in this session will include:

  • Types of income and expenditure
  • How and when to present on costs
  • Paying people (salaries vs contractors)
  • Gathering and presenting quotes
  • What happens if the project cost is larger than the grant amount?
  • How and when to present in-kind support
  • What can I do if the funding is not confirmed?
  • How to present costs such as insurance, auspice and/or evaluation
  • Monitoring expenditure for the acquittal

Facilitated by: Debby Maziarz

There is no cost to attend these workshops, however, registration is required
