About this event

Committees are the backbone of every community organisation and club. They are responsible for decision-making and are involved in the administration of the organisation.   Successful and effective committees are therefore the goal of every community organisation. This interactive workshop will help community groups to understand more about the legal responsibilities and accountabilities of committee members. 

Topics to be covered in this session include:

  • Understanding committees' roles and responsibilities, including position descriptions
  • Appreciating what makes an effective committee
  • Understanding the legal obligations of committee members in Victoria
  • Evaluating the current committee’s strengths and weaknesses
  • Good decision-making

Facilitated by: Non Profit Training

There is no cost to attend these workshops, however, registration is required
