Festive Fun Day – it’s a wrap!

Our Festive Fun Day on Sunday 1 December 2024 was a cracker of an event and Council would like to thank everyone who attended!

Even the threatening weather was kind to us, and we were absolutely delighted that over 2,500 of you came along to celebrate the festive season at Errington Reserve in St Albans.

The day was action packed with an array of fun and interactive, free of charge activities, suitable for all ages.

Fun for all

It was great to see our community enjoying the day. Face painting, a giant bubble artist, art, craft and painting activities, roving performers, a photo booth and photo sessions with Santa and Mrs Claus, and two Christmas movie screenings on offer, were just a few of the popular attractions!

There were a diverse range of performances on the main stage from Daniel Reeves Band, Pound Fitness with Jessica, African Drumming, D Kuir – local rapper, accordionist Phil Carroll, DJ Raas Masters, Damo Music for kids and Santa!

We had lots of workshops on offer and many were fully booked – from skateboard art, basketball, tennis and African drumming workshops, Tai Chi and Zumba sessions, the choices were many.

The Sensory Lounge was a great addition this year and provided a calm and inclusive space for those who needed a break, to make sure everyone could enjoy the festivities in comfort.

Emergency services were also onsite, including Police, Fire Rescue, SES, and St John Ambulance CPR Lab, providing a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

A variety of Council services and programs were also represented at the event including dog micro-chipping, so that there was something for everyone to enjoy.

To sum it all up, it was a truly fun-filled day that captured the festive spirit and brought our beloved Brimbank community together.
