Brimbank is excited to join the global celebration of UNESCO’s Adult Learners Week from 1–8 September 2026 with events and activities throughout the week at Brimbank Libraries.
Adult Learners Week shines a spotlight on the importance of lifelong learning and offers an opportunity to discover new interests and skills. This year’s theme is ‘Follow your compass’.
The compass has been a vital tool for finding the right direction for thousands of years and across many cultures. Just like a compass, lifelong learning can reveal new paths and open new horizons.
This Adult Learners Week in Brimbank, try something new with introductory workshops on Japanese calligraphy, Tai Chi, candle making and trading card games.
There’s also an information session on healthy eating, along with plenty of social groups where you can have a chat, work on a craft project or discuss the latest books with others from your community.
