Find out what happens to your garden waste and food scraps once it is collected, by coming along for an education tour of Veolia’s state of the art organics recovery facility. Veolia is working collaboratively with Brimbank City Council to divert organic material from landfill. This facility processes 85,000 tonnes of organic material annually from 11 North-Western Councils.
The community tour will depart from the Brimbank Community Civic Centre, 301 Hampshire Road, Sunshine at 10am and will return by 1pm.
Please note: Spring is a busy time, so we will remain in the minibus for the duration of the tour. Please wear a mask while travelling in the minibus.
What to bring: Please bring a water bottle and any snacks you might want.
