Free RATs available now

Update as of February 2024: The distribution of free Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) program has now ended. If you need RATs, visit your local pharmacy, supermarkets and other retailers or contact your Medical Provider for further assistance.

Plan ahead and grab your FREE Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs).

Rapid antigen tests are safe, easy to use and effective in finding out whether you have COVID.

From Monday 6 February, Free RATs will be made available for you to plan ahead and check symptoms. To pick up a pack, visit any one of our collection points listed below.

You can receive up to 2 packs of 5 RATs per person, and up to 2 packs per household member. You are not required to have a Medicare card.

People living with a disability and their carers can get 4 packs of 5 free rapid antigen tests per person.

You can collect RATs as many times as you need. If you run out of RATs, you are welcome to collect more to make sure you are prepared.

Free RATs are also available at select community health organisations and private pathology centres.

Reporting a positive RAT result lets you access COVID medication if eligible.
