Have your say on Council’s proposed Social Justice Framework for Brimbank

You’re invited to share your thoughts on Brimbank Council’s plans to introduce a new Social Justice Framework for our community.

Council is calling on locals to have a say on the draft Framework and how we can make Brimbank fairer and more inclusive for everyone.

The Framework will build upon a previous version developed in 2018 and outline how Council will lead and support equality, inclusion and wellbeing for all who live, work and visit Brimbank.

It will also help guide how Council plans and delivers services, programs and engages with the community.

By ensuring services and initiatives are designed with a focus on equity and inclusion from the start, Council will be able to deliver improved community outcomes.

Brimbank Mayor, Cr Thuy Dang is encouraging people to share their thoughts.

“We want everyone in Brimbank to have equal access to support and opportunities, no matter who they are or where they come from,” Cr Dang said.

“We want to know what social justice means to you and how Council can take meaningful action to improve equity and inclusion.”

“Our updated Social Justice Framework will help us make fair decisions that benefit the whole community.”

Have your say on the new Social Justice Framework until Sunday 9 November by visiting yoursay.brimbank.vic.gov.au
