Have Your Say: Shaping Brimbank’s future

Council is calling on the Brimbank community to help shape the city’s future by providing feedback on these important strategic documents:

  • Draft Annual Action Plan and Budget for 2025/2026,

  • Draft Financial Plan for 2025-2035 and

  • Draft Revenue and Rating Plan for 2025-2029.

We want to know if the documents capture the top priorities of those who live, work, and play in Brimbank. Community feedback will play a vital role in ensuring our plans and actions are responding to what matters most to our community.

Brimbank Mayor, Cr Thuy Dang said we invite you to share what’s most important to you for your local community. This is a valuable opportunity to contribute your ideas and have your say on our annual action plan and budget.

“We’re focused on initiatives that will make a real difference in your everyday life.

“By working together, we can make Brimbank a better place to live, work and play. We want everyone to feel proud to be Brimbank, and to be part of shaping the future of our city”, Mayor Dang said.

Over the past nine months, we asked over 1,000 community members to share their insights, aspirations and hopes for Brimbank. They told us their top priorities, which included dumped rubbish, health and wellbeing, creating vibrant community spaces and strengthening connections.

Council is committed to delivering essential services and infrastructure while balancing financial sustainability, to ensure Brimbank remains a thriving, inclusive and future-focused community.

In 2025/2026, Council will allocate $273.2 million for operations, funding 76 different services that span from maternal and child health, arts and culture, statutory planning, economic development and public realm.

In addition, Council will further invest in initiatives that keep Brimbank clean and beautiful, including the crack down on illegal rubbish dumping, and the introduction of a rapid response team to improve the community’s access and enjoyment of our parks and gardens.

Council also proposes to invest $56.7 million on capital works in 2025/2026 to improve roads, community and sports facilities, kindergartens, playgrounds, parks, gardens and walking and cycling paths.
