Local businesses, property owners, residents, visitors and anyone with a connection to Sunshine are invited to have their say on a new draft framework that will help guide the management of the Sunshine CBD over the next five years, through a period of significant growth and transformation.
Council’s Draft Sunshine Place Management Framework 2026–2031 outlines how Council will work alongside local businesses, property owners and the broader community to ensure the area continues to grow as a safe, vibrant and welcoming destination.
The draft framework lists five key areas for improvement including:
- Program Management, Governance & Partnerships
- Marketing, Promotions & Activation
- Community Safety, Access & Amenity
- Business Development & Investment Attraction
- Community Development & Wellbeing
The strategic roadmap comes at a time of significant change for Sunshine, with ongoing development and increased activity expected to reshape Sunshine as the CBD of the west in the years ahead.
Why your voice matters:
Council urges everyone who has an interest in Sunshine to get involved — including businesses, property owners, residents, workers, visitors, community organisations, developers and government agencies.
Feedback gathered during the consultation period will be used to refine the framework before it is finalised.
Brimbank Mayor Cr Virginia Tachos said:
“This framework is about making sure Sunshine continues to reflect the needs and aspirations of the people who use it every day.
“We want to hear a wide range of perspectives to help guide the CBD’s future.
“Importantly, community feedback will help Council shape the final Sunshine Rising Framework for 2026-2031.”
