Change rooms officially opened at Keilor Park Reserve

The modular change rooms at Keilor Park Reserve are now complete and have been officially opened by Brimbank Mayor, Cr Jasmine Nguyen and State Member for Niddrie, the Hon Ben Carroll.

Located right next to the grounds, the upgraded facilities allow the synthetic soccer pitches to host multiple matches with enough player and umpire amenities for four teams at once.

The completed upgrades include:

  • Four female friendly change rooms
  • Two female friendly referee rooms
  • First aid room
  • Accessible toilet and shower
  • Two storerooms
  • Kitchen/canteen
  • Undercover veranda and deck area
  • External lighting

The $1.324m project formed part of Council’s Female Friendly Change Room Upgrade Program, encouraging women and girls to get active in the west.

Council received $500,000 from State Government’s World Game Facilities Fund to complete the upgrades.

There are two tenant clubs onsite at the Keilor Park Soccer Facility, who provide important participation opportunities for the local community.

Soccer clubs, Primary and Secondary schools, community organisations and cultural groups are also able to book the grounds on a casual basis through Council.
