Brimbank’s neighbourhood COVID-19 vaccination walk-in sessions are making it easy for community members to get vaccinated.
The walk-in vaccination pop-ups are in easy to find locations in Keilor, Deer Park, Sunshine, St Albans and Sydenham.
Sessions are run by the dedicated nurses and health professionals from the Western Health Public Health Unit.
There’s no need to make an appointment and you can organise your first and second vaccination dose on the spot.
These are just one of the ways Council is supporting health partners and the community to help protect themselves and their families.
Team members from Council’s COVID Connector Program are also at the walk-in sessions to help residents find the information they need around testing, vaccination and what to do if you have COVID-19.
The COVID Connector Program provides information and practical support including:
- Temporary food relief including culturally appropriate food options
- Face masks and other essential items
- Help accessing vaccination information
- Help to find safe ways to travel to a vaccine appointment
- Advice on financial assistance available
- What to do if you have COVID-19
- Help connecting vaccination certificates
The program is available Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm. Team members work with residents, agencies and health services to help find the information and support someone needs.
