We understand community members are being impacted by COVID-19 in different ways. A number of support services are available, including for emergency relief, financial assistance, mental health support and more. You can find more information on Councll’s website.

I’d like to remind you that nominations for the We Are Brimbank Awards 2021 are due by 3 September. The Awards acknowledge our local heroes and celebrate their contribution to our community. If you know of a project, organisation or community group that deserves to be recognised, don’t wait, nominate them for an award now!

Brimbank Council’s Community Recovery Grants and Business Grants programs are open to support COVID-19 recovery.

Local community groups, organisations and youth initiatives impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic can apply for a total of $600,000 in Brimbank Council Community Recovery Grants.

Community Recovery Grants are available in five categories: Recovery Grants (up to $10,000);  Establishment Grants (up to $1000); Community Festival and Event Grants (Up to $10,000); Major Festival and Events Grants (up to $25,000) and  Youth Support Grants (Up to $15,000). Under the Brimbank Business Grants program, $200,000 is available to support local start-ups and small businesses to adapt to the impacts of COVID-19 and strengthen their businesses.

Two Business Grants funding streams are being offered – Start-up Microgrants (up to $2,000, with up to $30,000 available) and Small Business Grants (up to $10,000 with up to $170,000 available).
