Men’s Health Week featuring Robert Dipierdomenico

Men’s Health Week celebrates its 30th year in 2024 with a focus on Men’s Health Checks

Men’s Health Week takes place from 10-16 June 2024. This is an annual worldwide call to action about the health and wellbeing needs and issues that relate to men and boys.

This year’s focus is on Men’s Health checks and on encouraging men and boys to build healthy habits by identifying small changes they can make that benefit their health and wellbeing.

The City of Brimbank is proud to support the range of activities happening this week, events that include cooking, exercise, social connection, family connection and art across various sites in Brimbank.

These activities are aimed at supporting improved mental wellbeing, healthy eating, active living and physical activity and support economic and social inclusion.

Robert says: “The stigma around mental health and vulnerability amongst males, let alone males in a professional setting, is one that has been outdated for many years. It is an absolute honour that I am able to share my story with Westvale Community Centre and assist in breaking barriers, hopefully encouraging others to be more confident in speaking out too!”
