Midsumma Festival is just around the corner!
Midsumma is a cultural festival that celebrates queer artists, culture makers, social transformers and advocates.
Brimbank has collaborated with other western region councils to bring you Midsumma Westside, the best LGBTQIA+ events from Melbourne’s west.
You can join in the Midsumma festival fun in Brimbank this year with four key events:
Fabulous & Impossible: The Cult of Leigh Bowery: exhibition featuring the visual art of Tom Christophersen, running from 23 January – 13 February 2022 at Bowery Theatre.
Pride Pool Party in the Sunshine: an LGBTIQA+ inclusive pride pool party to celebrate the Midsumma Festival, on Sunday 30 January 2022. This is a ticketed event.
Entangled by Genevieve Collier: Genevieve Collier’s art exhibition running from 4 February – 17 March 2022 at Hunt Club.
Impress or Revolt: The Fabulous and Impossible Legacy of Leigh Bowery: Join us on 4 February 2022 as we celebrate the legacy of the inimitable Leigh Bowery, on the fifth anniversary of the Bowery Theatre opening. This is a ticketed event.
