Veggie Seedlings in Schools Program – Sign up now

School food gardens are a great way for students to connect with nature, learn about healthy eating, bond with other students, and improve their mental and physical wellbeing. Lunchtime garden clubs can also offer a safe space for students who struggle to fit in. Twice a year, Council runs the Veggie Seedlings in Schools program to help Brimbank schools and early learning centres (ELCs) start or replenish their food gardens.

Signup for the spring rollout of the Veggie Seedlings in Schools program to receive a random selection of 10 – 15 punnets of veggie/ herb seedlings. This program is open to all (public and private) early learning centres and schools within Brimbank. Seedlings will be delivered in October.

Signup deadline is 11.59pm Sunday 18 August
