Young Entrepreneur Summit Brimbank! wrap-up

The Young Entrepreneur Summit Brimbank! was packed into one exciting day where young people got involved in fun, interactive activities. They heard from inspiring keynote speakers, took part in a live Shark Tank to pitch their business ideas to successful peers like Pip Stocks and Parminder Banwait, mingled with judges and presenters, and explored a buzzing Marketplace full of opportunities just for them.

Summit attendee Samarpan said, “it was truly one of the inspiring events I’ve ever been to, full of energy, insight, and connection. Brilliant lineup of speakers, and the highly engaged audience that made the experience so powerful.”

Attendees heard from Yesha Patel, founder of After, a circular fashion startup tackling textile waste across Australia, and Julia Truong, founder of JT Production Management and Future Events Lab, who shared her journey from organising her first event at 14 to leading two thriving event businesses.

10 schools, mostly from Brimbank, registered, with over 200 students taking part in the Summit.

What did the students enjoy most about the day?

“Listening to the guest speakers and exploring ideas for a pitch.”

“Collaborating with people from different schools and years.”

“The people. I loved their energy and the fun they brought.”

“Learning fundamental entrepreneurial skills, gaining crucial experiences, making friends & networking!” – Jackson, St. Albans Secondary College

Elsa said “throughout the day, we gained invaluable skills in public speaking and were even given the chance to pitch our ideas to trailblazers like Pip Stocks founder of Brandhook – an experience that reaffirmed that no matter where you start, a bold mindset can launch you towards a brighter future.”
