Brimbank has welcomed news that the Mt Derrimut Level Crossing removal is charging ahead. The construction contract has been awarded.
Mayor, Cr Jasmine Nguyen said “ the Premier has also announced the final designs for the level crossing and the new Deer Park Station.
“Council is thrilled to see an integrated Bus Interchange included in the plans. This was a key focus of Council’s advocacy in relation to this project.
“This is a significant win for the commuters and public transport users in Deer Park.
“The level crossing program is making our roads safer, less congested and improving public transport.
These are important projects for our community and it is great when we see local concerns are also solved in project solutions.” Cr Nguyen said.
