Council lights up for Amnesty International

This year marks 60 years of Amnesty International fighting for human rights across the globe.

To celebrate this and Human Rights Day, Brimbank will join other local governments in lighting up buildings across Victoria on Friday 10 December 2021.

Brimbank will illuminate the back of the Brimbank Community and Civic Centre in Sunshine with a yellow-themed commissioned piece.

The piece by local artist, Rosina Yuan who is a New Zealand artist of Chinese descent. Rosina works across drawing, painting, digital mediums and installation to explore modes of interactivity in both public and private spaces.

The commemorative piece can be seen at the rear of 301 Hampshire Road, Sunshine from sundown for one night only on Friday 10 December.
