We proudly bring to you The ‘People of Brimbank’ podcast showcasing the powerful stories of our people from all walks of life in the community.

In our first ever series, we delve into the lives of eight incredible community members. Hear about their personal life experiences, their community involvement and why community is important to them.

Episode 1 – Pasquale

Pasquale migrated to Australia from Italy and moved to St Albans in the 1970s. Pasquale chats about his bountiful garden at Westvale Community Centre, his passion for fishing and how he met his wife. Discover why he loves living in Brimbank.

Episode 2 – Lee

Lee’s journey took her far away from Brimbank, before she came back with a strength and commitment to help and empower others using art therapy as a qualified Creative Arts Therapist, Visual Artist, Mental Health and Disability Practitioner.

Episode 3 – Mai

Mai Huong is a Brimbank-Vietnamese community powerhouse. She is a mother of three boys, works full time at a local primary school, is passionate about using dance to help Vietnamese seniors and is the President of Australian Vietnamese Arts Incorporation.

Mai talks about her journey from arriving in Australia speaking no English to establishing a career in local primary school education.
