Reusable Goods Drop-off Day supports local charities

Declutter your home, help someone in need and support a more sustainable future by being part of Brimbank’s Reusable Goods Drop-off Day.

Brimbank residents can conveniently drop-off their household items for reuse on Saturday 25 November, 2023 from 9:00am to 2:00pm.  So come along to the Brimbank Operations Centre carpark, on Stadium Drive in Keilor Park.

Items in good condition will be donated to local charities, West Welcome Wagon and Helping Hands Mission.

Residents can drop-off items for reuse including:

  • televisions, computers
  • small household appliances (like vacuums, rice cookers, toasters and kettles)
  • furniture (small items that will fit into small apartments)
  • bikes and toys
  • bed bases (all sizes but no mattresses please)
  • clothes, shoes, bags
  • towels and linen

Helping Hands Mission CEO, Melanie Gill, said the charity welcomed any of these items, and emphasised the importance of dropping off items that were in good condition.

As the rising costs of living begin to bite, more people in the community are turning to our local charities. Items in good condition will be very welcome by families doing their best to provide for their loved ones.
