Cultural Diversity Week 2024

Cultural Diversity Week (18-24 March) is Victoria’s largest multicultural celebration held annually to coincide with the United Nation’s International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, also called Harmony Day in Australia, on 21 March.

This year’s theme is ‘Our Shared Stories – Celebrating Together’ which goes beyond individual narratives and encourages us to recognise and celebrate the beautiful intersections that enrich our culturally diverse community.

It’s a time when we can all share and learn from the cultural richness and experience within ourselves and our communities.

What’s on:

Brimbank Council, in collaboration with partner service providers, will deliver an exciting program of events for adults, youth and children that celebrate the diversity and proud community spirit in our municipality.

These include sport and fitness activities, tea and coffee gatherings, sharing stories, songs and rhymes, a session about Ramadan, a multi-cultural festival with the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation, chill and chat sessions, skateboarding and more.
