Keilor Lodge Reserve pitch upgrades complete and officially opened

Thanks to investments by Brimbank Council and the State Government, Keilor Lodge Reserve’s Pitch 3 is now a full size soccer pitch that can be used for competition, and the new lighting on Pitch 1 will allow it to be used for night matches – two great outcomes for our community.

Brimbank Mayor Cr Ranka Rasic joined with the Hon. Natalie Hutchins MP, Member for Sydenham, on Friday for the official opening of Keilor Lodge Reserve’s Pitch 3 and Pitch 1 Lighting upgrade.

Mayor Cr Rasic said: “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the Victorian Government for providing $500,000 funding towards this project as part of its World Game Facilities Fund, 2021-22 Program.”

Council also contributed just over $1 million to this project, with the total project cost of $1,571,912.54

Mayor Cr Rasic continued: “When we invest in our sporting facilities, it is an investment into the health and wellbeing of our community.

“Sport and active recreation not only brings people together and builds community cohesion – it also makes us happier, healthier and live longer.

“I look forward to seeing more of our community out there enjoying these fantastic sporting facilities.”

Keilor Lodge Reserve is located at 44-52 Robertsons Rd, Taylors Lakes. For more information, you can visit Keilor Lodge Reserve – Brimbank Directory.
