Noble Court Reserve park upgrades improve health and wellbeing

The Noble Court Reserve suburban park upgrades in Sunshine West were officially opened on Monday 29 January, delivered in perfect timing for summer.

The upgrades included a new playground featuring:

  • nature play opportunities
  • fitness equipment
  • circuit and walking paths
  • multi-use court
  • sheltered gazebo, and
  • picnic facilities with BBQ and seating.

The suburban park is another beautiful green space for play, exercise, and to connect with other people. It offers our more access to nature and will help support the community’s health and wellbeing.

The Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions contributed $225,000, as part of the State Government’s Local Sports Infrastructure Fund, and Brimbank Council contributed $680,000 to the project.

Since 2008, Council’s award-winning Creating Better Parks Policy and Plan has been breathing new life into Brimbank’s park network.

Since adopting the policy, we’ve invested over $50 million and upgraded 151 parks and playgrounds in Brimbank.

“Improving open spaces and promoting physical and mental health is an important focus for creating a better Brimbank,” said Brimbank Mayor Cr Ranka Rasic.

“Brimbank’s parks play an important role in supporting the community’s physical and mental health.”

“Council will continue to deliver more user-friendly open spaces that help our community lead healthier, happier and better lives.”

Noble Court Reserve suburban park is located at 26-45 Noble Court, Sunshine West.
